hi! i’m rachel (they/them please!). i’m a non-binary yoga instructor, community facilitator, and bookkeeper for hire.

i currently live and work in the traditional territories of the erie, neutral, huron-wendat, haudenosaunee and mississauga people, otherwise known as hamilton, ON.

my movement practice is rooted in cultivating resilience in body + mind through progressive challenge. using a blend of yoga, pilates, and somatic movement practices, my goal is to create inclusive classes where people can find joy and strength in their bodies. i seek to find a place where curiosity + playfulness can coexist with radical compassion, thoughtful language, and wild kindness.

i am also interested in the link between mindfulness + creativity. what can happen when we are present with ourselves? what magic can we create? what is the intersection between body-mind connection and imagination? my creative endeavours are based in mindfulness and intuition: fibre arts, intuitive painting, and collage all ask us to slow down, be present, and tap into the body.

in general, i believe that mindful movement + creativity practices can help us reclaim agency over our bodies, tap into our intuition, and smash the patriarchy.

other hobbies include: knitting, hanging with my dog, eating ice cream, staring out the window.
